Hayat Pharmacy is a locally owned pharmacy in the greater Milwaukee area.

Hashim Zaibak started his career as a Pharmacist in 1999 after graduating from the University of Illinois–Chicago. With over sixteen years of experience as a Pharmacist, he has seen the industry from multiple vantage points. Hashim opened the first Hayat Pharmacy in January of 2011.
Since then, Hayat Pharmacy has been providing customers with innovative and award-winning pharmacy services such as free prescription delivery, medication therapy management, medication synchronization, safe medication disposal and community outreach events all over the greater Milwaukee area.
As recognition of Hashim’s excellent service to the community, Pharmacy Development Services named him “2014 Pharmacist of the Year.” Hayat Pharmacy was named Health Mart’s "Pharmacy of the Year” in 2014 and again in 2021.

About Dr. Lester L. Carter, Jr.
Growing up in Nebraska, Lester Carter idolized botanist George Washington Carver and was inspired to follow in his footsteps. After serving in the United States Navy, Carter attended Creighton University and was a 1958 graduate of the Pharmacy program.
Carter became one of the first African American pharmacists in the state of Nebraska and later relocated to Milwaukee, WI, purchasing his own pharmacy in 1968. In 2014, Carter teamed up with Hayat Pharmacy, which purchased Carter Drugs and operated as Hayat-Carter Herbal.

Widely known as "Dr. Carter" to his customers and peers alike, he was awarded an honorary Doctorate from the Medical College of Wisconsin in 2015. He is nationally recognized for his many custom preparations and was sought out as an expert in herbal remedies. Dr. Carter provided more than five decades of service to his community and practiced until he passed in 2022 at age 90. His commitment to excellence in personalized patient care lives on today at what is now the Milwaukee Pharmacy.
