Medication nonadherence is a leading cause of preventable hospitalizations, disease progression, and avoidable health care costs. Peer-reviewed research consistently shows that medication packaging (blister packs, pill packs, unit-dose packaging) is one of the most effective, scalable strategies to improve adherence—especially for patients on multiple chronic medications.
Patients receiving prepackaged medications achieved significantly better adherence: 3.7% of doses missed vs 17.4% (P < .001).
Randomized controlled trial of 80 patients taking ≥ 4 medications1
Packaging interventions increased adherence by 8%, from 63% to 71%.

In-Home LAI Administration for Your Patients
Hayat Pharmacy brings long-acting injectable (LAI) administration directly to your patients’ homes in Southeast Wisconsin, helping providers deliver safer, more effective behavioral health care while improving outcomes.
Long-acting injectables reduce hospitalization by ~38% compared with oral antipsychotics in U.S. patients.1
In-home LAI administration reduced medication adherence failure by 38% and lowered rehospitalization (28.8% vs. 41.9%) compared to clinic-based LAI administration.2
Supporting Your Patients with Free SUD and Overdose Prevention Resources
At Hayat Pharmacy, we partner with providers to support patients and caregivers managing substance use disorder (SUD). Providers can refer patients to free fentanyl and xylazine test strips with education on safe use, and mail-back envelopes for secure medication disposal. Offered in partnership with UW-Madison School of Pharmacy and Wisconsin Opioid Overdose Response Center (WOORC).
At our Greenfield location (4931 S 27th St., Greenfield, WI), a harm reduction vending machine provides Narcan (naloxone) kits, fentanyl test strips, and gun locks at no cost, helping prevent overdoses and promote community safety. Offered in partnership with City of Greenfield.
