Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) Vaccine Update:

With reported cases of measles in Wisconsin, the best protection is the Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) vaccine. It’s recommended that adults receive 2 doses of the MMR vaccine in their lifetime.

  • If you are unsure of your vaccination status or if you only had one dose, you should talk with your doctor or one of our pharmacists about getting vaccinated.
  • If you’re traveling to an area where measles occurs more frequently, you should get vaccinated.

Children ages 1-12 may get the MMRV vaccine instead, which protects against chickenpox too. Some people should not get the MMR vaccine or should wait. Talk with your healthcare provider to learn more.
